The Procurement Functional Workgroup is developing standard
implementation conventions to be used the Federal Government
in transmitting electronic data using ANSI X12 Version 3.5
(3050). Federal Implementation Conventions for ASC X12
transaction set 836 (Procurement Notices) is available for
public comment. These documents are available in electronic
format from the World Wide Web (WWW) at
http://snad.ncsl.nist.gov/dartg/edi/fededi.html and from
anonymous FTP at snad.ncsl.nist.gov/pub/fededi/PFWG. The
FTP login is anonymous and your E-Mail address should be
entered as the password. Electronic comments are preferred
and should be addressed to PFWG@snad.ncsl.nist.gov. The
public comment period closes June 2, 1995 (or 30 days from
the date of publishing)
