AFAICT cc/output/gl_renderer.cc only calls SkImage:getTexture to determine the origin of the backing GrTexture. What do y'all think of this CL as a means of removing that call to getTexture?
One alternative would be to add a new entry point like:
bool SkImage::getBackendTextureDesc(GrBackendTextureDesc* desc) const;
which fills in the entire desc and returns whether the image is texture backed.

Original CL: https://skia-review.googlesource.com/c/7326/
(1) Move trimming logic into Bitmap/Pixmap level for
raster. Everything goes through here, so we'll
only do the work once.
(2) This means it also goes to GPU level.
(3) Always use SkReadPixelsRec rather than inlining
the logic.
(4) Create an SkWritePixelsRec to encapsulate write
trimming.
(5) Disabled kIndex8 as a dst - always.

Ganesh doesn't support Index8, because GPUs don't really
support it. So serializing it in the deferred blob just
meant doing an expansion before upload. This forces that
to happen when we build the blob. It also paves the way
for removing the last usage of MakeTextureFromPixmap,
which I'd like to remove.

This still needs to be propagated out in several ways:
replace more instances of GrSurface::read/write-Pixels
add colorSpace to more instances of the TextureContext
but it establishes a beach-head and is exciting enough as is.

The original is at:
https://skia-review.googlesource.com/c/6887/
The only change to the original is to temporarily comment out
a check in SkImageInfoPriv.h until a Chrome unit test can
be fixed.
The idea is share these standards for the following:
SkImage::readPixels()
SkCanvas::readPixels()
SkCanvas::writePixels()
SkBitmap::readPixels()
SkPixmap::readPixels()
On the raster side, SkPixmap::readPixels() is the right
place to check, because all raster calls go through
there eventually. Then at lower levels (ex: SkPixelInfo),
we can assert.
There's not really a unifying location for gpu calls,
so I've added this in multiple places. I haven't really
dug into the gpu code to SkASSERT() on invalid cases
that we will have already caught.
Follow-up work:
Similar refactor for SkReadPixelRec::trim().
Code cleanup in SkPixelInfo::CopyPixels()

This only changes behavior when the input SkBitmap/SkPixmap is
tagged with a non-null SkColorSpace. Android tags their bitmaps
as sRGB when linear blending is enabled. So this only changes
behavior in Android when linear blending is turned on.
*If linear blending is turned on, this will do a color correct
encode (which is the desired behavior).
*If linear blending is turned off, this will do a legacy encode.
TODO: Add support for F16.
TODO: Add color space support to WEBP.
TODO: Tag encoded images with ICC profiles (when it makes sense).

It's turned out to be surprisingly subtle to make the optimization colorspace
correct (it's not today, but with this CL the affected images become colorspace
correct).
Before implementing a colorspace correct color shader, let's check we really need this.
Update: I should say, it's hard to do this optimization and make the resulting color shader be both colorspace correct and "legacy correct". SkColorShader and SkColor4fShader are both colorspace correct. It's just challenging to create one shader that's correct for both modes from an image.

GrContext still doesn't convert, but it has the source and destination
color spaces, and call sites are supplying appropriate values where it
makes sense.

This CL forces all GrSurface copies to go through a GrSurfaceContext (rather than GrContext).
There is a bit of goofiness going on here until read/writePixels is also consolidated in GrSurfaceContext and a proxy-backed SkImage/SkSurface is added.
This is a reland of https://skia-review.googlesource.com/c/5773/ (Add a deferred copy surface)

It's pretty easy to start with sound premultiplied linear floats, pack those to sRGB encoded bytes, then read them back to linear floats and find them not quite premultiplied, with a color channel just a smidge greater than the alpha channel. This can happen basically any time we have different transfer functions for alpha and colors... sRGB being the only one we draw into.
This is an annoying problem with no known good solution. So apply the clamp hammer.
These new calls on SkRasterPipeline should make it impossible to get wrong.

The storage cost is the same, so might as well do this when building the pipeline instead of when running it. This also avoids the awkward cvtsi2ss instruction that screws with register renaming.
