* Use Abseil's implementation of absl::rotl and absl::rotr for libc++Gravatar Derek Mauro2023-08-16
| | | | | | | | | | | | | prior to 18.0 to workaround libc++ having the wrong signature for these functions. Upstream issue: https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/issues/64544 The preprocessor conditions were inverted for readability as the conditions became more complex. * Fix the check for #include <bit>Gravatar Derek Mauro2023-06-26
| | | | | | | | | | Previously this was guarded with macros that are defined by <bit> itself. Note that libc++ also had a bug that was fixed last week https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/commit/a4f0764aefd6ea41e83a5974f582a1a7e985667d PiperOrigin-RevId: 543511181 Change-Id: I1b8efa32f721ad450f8d1803c6c6c8373ad0371c
* Change bit_width(T) to return int rather than T.Gravatar Abseil Team2022-08-18
| | | | | | | | This matches std::bit_width(). Bug: chromium:1292951 PiperOrigin-RevId: 468495319 Change-Id: I0e428addb6a7353abbf2063c5c2f5820c3bae789
* Revert change "Fix "unsafe narrowing" warnings in absl, 4/n.".Gravatar Thomas Köppe2022-08-04
| | | | | | | The change breaks existing code by changing the return type of absl::bit_width. PiperOrigin-RevId: 465295951 Change-Id: Id4ce7c2ac3699ce22aa2b4851a949f9e0104a3d7
* Fix "unsafe narrowing" warnings in absl, 4/n.Gravatar Abseil Team2022-08-04
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Addresses failures with the following, in some files: -Wshorten-64-to-32 -Wimplicit-int-conversion -Wsign-compare -Wsign-conversion -Wtautological-unsigned-zero-compare (This specific CL focuses on .cc files in strings/, except /internal/.) -- 0bfa836596a9c787a2f0bdc283011dd1f6810c6e by Benjamin Barenblat <bbaren@google.com>: Ignore missing CPU frequency on more architectures Linux on MIPS, PA-RISC, RISC-V, and SystemZ doesn’t expose the nominal CPU frequency via /sys, so don’t worry if `NominalCPUFrequency` returns 1.0 on those platforms. Some POWER machines expose the CPU frequency; others do not. Since we can’t predict which type of machine the tests will run on, simply disable testing for `NominalCPUFrequency` on POWER. PiperOrigin-RevId: 347079873 -- 492b6834ed4a07cbc3abccd846f7e37d8c556ee5 by Benjamin Barenblat <bbaren@google.com>: Use ABSL_HAVE_THREAD_LOCAL macro instead of copying code Reduce code duplication by checking the ABSL_HAVE_THREAD_LOCAL macro instead of copying code from base/config.h. This flag allows making subcords shallow for ringbuffers (with a potential larger waste of referenced source cords), which allows us to make subcord fast for this apps that do no persist (unmodified / plain copied) sub cords. This change also introduces constants for the default settings, intended to keep the internal cord settings concistent with external flags.
