Using Mltop.add_path instead of Mltop.add_rec_path causes the following
kind of behavior:
$ coqtop -nois
Coq < Require Import Coq.Init.Datatypes.
Error: Cannot find a physical path bound to logical path Coq.Init.
The only case where its use is still warranted is the implicit "." path. It
shall not be recursive because Coq might be called from about anywhere.
This patch also removes -I-as since its behavior is no longer the one from
8.4 so it is not worth keeping it around.

E.g.
Coq options are:
-I dir look for ML files in dir
-include dir (idem)
[...]
-h, --help print this list of options
With the flag '-toploop coqidetop' these extra option are also available:
--help-XML-protocol print the documentation of the XML protocol used by CoqIDE

User interface writers can drop a footop.cmxs in $(COQLIB)/toploop/
and pass -toploop footop to customize the coq main loop.
A toploop must set Coqtop.toploop_init and Coqtop.toploop_run to
functions respectively initializing the toploop (and parsing toploop
specific arguments) and running the main loop itself.
For backward compatibility -ideslave and -async-proofs worker do
set the toploop to coqidetop and stmworkertop respectively.

be used by both static and dynamic plugins.

This option complements -I-as and -R. As the two other options, it adds a
new loadpath, but contrarily to them, files are not looked into the
directory unless fully qualified.

Ok, this is merely a matter of taste, but up to now the usage
in Coq is rather to use capital letters instead of _ in the
names of inner modules.

In particular restoring a frozen summary (for instance during
a backtrack) will not replay the plugin init functions.
Backtracking on a "Declare ML Module" and replaying it will
correctly replay the init function (cache function in libobject).

Plugins can call add_known_plugin instead of add_known_module to
specify an initialization function. That function is granted to be
called after the system initialization (in case of static linking)
and every time their are "loaded" with Declare ML Module (even if the
.cmo or .cmxs is actually loaded only once since OCaml is unable to
unload dynamically linked modules).

- renamed load_object in mltop into load_ml_object to avoid confusion
with load_object in library
- flushed the liboject warning in real time

In particular, the unused lib/tlm.ml and lib/gset.ml are removed
In addition, to simplify code, Libobject.record_object returning only the
('a->obj) function, which is enough almost all the time.
Use Libobject.record_object_full if you really need also the (obj->'a).

- Many of them were broken, some of them after Pierre B's rework
of mli for ocamldoc, but not only (many bad annotation, many files
with no svn property about Id, etc)
- Useless for those of us that work with git-svn (and a fortiori
in a forthcoming git-only setting)
- Even in svn, they seem to be of little interest

dev/ocamlweb-doc has been erased. I hope no one still use the
"new-parse" it generate.
In dev/,
make html will generate in dev/html/ "clickable version of mlis". (as
the caml standard library)
make coq.pdf will generate nearly the same awfull stuff that coq.ps was.
make {kernel,lib,parsing,..}.{dot,png} will do the dependancy graph of
the given directory.
ocamldoc comment syntax is here :
http://caml.inria.fr/pub/docs/manual-ocaml/manual029.html
The possibility to put graphs in pdf/html seems to be lost.

Instead of failing with some obscure error message *after* loading the
module, accept Local Declare ML Module with the usual semantics.

Instead of dirty hacks in toplevel/coqtop.ml, we simply add
some Declare ML Module in Prelude.v. Gain: now that coqdep
is clever enough, dependencies are automatic, and we can
simplify the Makefile quite a lot: no more references to
INITPLUGINSBEST and the like.
Besides, mltop.ml4 can also be simplified a lot: by
giving $(CONTRIBSTATIC) to coqmktop instead of contrib.cma,
now coqtop is aware that it already contain the static plugins
(or not), and subsequent ML Module are ignored correctly
without us having to do anything :-)

Dynlink.add_{interfaces,available_units} are deprecated and not
implemented natively. Currently, native "Declare ML Module" doesn't
work because of this. Dynlink-related should be switched to the API
introduced in OCaml 3.07.
